New World Cup Format Explained

For the first time, 48 teams will take part in the World Cup. This expanded tournament means more games, more strategy, and more arbitrage betting opportunities.

There will be 3 games for each team and the top two teams from each advancing to the knockout stages, that fans will be familiar with. However as there are 12 groups in total, the top 8 best third-place teams will also qualify for the next round (the round of 32).

The eventual champions will have played eight games by the end of the final on Sunday, July 19th - which is a new-high for the tournament.
