They are currently without a win in their last three League games, with last weekend\u2019s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle their second loss during that run.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Midweek, the 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan compounded Mikel Arteta&#8217;s woes, despite a performance that Arsenal could be very happy with. It was a Hakan Calhanoglu penalty in first-half injury time, though the manner in which the spot kick was given was controversial to say the least. There was little Mikel Merino could have done to move his arm out of the way of Mehdi Taremi&#8217;s flick.<\/p>\n<p>The controversy was added to by the fact that Merino felt he should have had a penalty earlier in the first half. Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer connected with his head when attempting to punch Gabriel Martinelli&#8217;s cross, but VAR did not see enough to overturn the on-field decision, much to Arsenal&#8217;s disappointment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Gunners currently sit seven points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, and could be as far as ten points behind come kick-off on Sunday, with the Reds taking on Aston Villa on Saturday night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a chaotic summer, Enzo Maresca appears to be making progress. Chelsea currently sit above Arsenal in the Premier League table on goal difference, but to date they have had a tendency to drop points against the league\u2019s best &#8211; and Manchester United. Their two defeats so have come against strong Manchester City and Liverpool sides, though they still sit in the Champions League spots &#8211; a place they\u2019ve looked to occupy again for a long time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Blues were underwhelming against Manchester United last weekend, but they still came away with a point. Their league form coming into this one has been a bit hit-and-miss too, with two wins, two draws and a defeat. A win for Chelsea, however, could move them six points ahead of the Gunners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Midweek, they lit up the Europa Conference League with an emphatic 8-0 win against NOAH, though quite how much can be read into that win &#8211; or many of their Conference League victories to date &#8211; is questionable to say the least.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Chelsea vs Arsenal Team News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cole Palmer looks to be a doubt for Chelsea, after picking up a late injury against Manchester United last weekend. The fact that he\u2019s been called up to the latest England squad, however, would suggest that he\u2019ll be okay for the game against the Gunners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jadon Sancho was unavailable for the trip to Old Trafford last weekend, and will be an enforced absentee once again. Pedro Neto is the other option for Chelsea down the wing, whom Enzo Maresca will likely continue with this weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barring a major surprise, Maresca will make several changes to Thursday\u2019s team that emphatically beat NOAH, with Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia all likely to return.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the Gunners, Declan Rice is a doubt for Arsenal and didn\u2019t travel to Milan midweek, after breaking his toe against Newcastle United last weekend. It has been reported that the England midfielder is prepared to play through the pain, so could be available to start against the Blues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mikel Arteta will be boosted by the fact that Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kieran Tierney, and Riccardo Calafiori will all return to action after the international break.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In another boost to Arteta, Martin Odegaard made his first appearance since the start of September in Milan, though it is unlikely that he will be available to start just yet, with Mikel Merino likely to be favored ahead of him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Prediction:<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/madmarket.io\/bg\/edge\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2-2 Draw @ <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.851<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Other Premier League football betting tips:<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the bottom end of the Premier League, West Ham face Everton.
